The Living Room – connect, open your heart and raise your vibration @ Arts On Site
Jan 23 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Living Room - connect, open your heart and raise your vibration @ Arts On Site | New York | NY | US

Join our second evening of sound meditation, healing and human connection.

Now that the first gathering is behind us, it might be time to give this beautiful experience a proper name  – The Living Room. Think of your best friend’s apartment, your parents’ place or your own cozy couch. It’s a place for everyone. New friendships are encouraged, so is the personal exploration and sharing of insights.

6.20pm – We will start the Ceremony with breathing and slowing down to prepare to receive the sound. The sound and vibrations will be created by the Gong which is one of the most powerful instruments used for healing.

7.00pm – Once we raise our vibrations we will give ourselves a chance to connect with each other in a human (non-social media/dating apps) way. Imagine yourself in your friend’s living room drinking tea, sharing stories and bonding. That’s the idea. We will open space for those of you willing to share your experience with others. Sharing experiences with each other is a powerful tool to connect, inspire and encourage someone. It also a way to learn and realize how similar we all are.

Sound meditation journey is a deeply relaxing and transformational experience which will leave you feeling lighter, more open to connection, self-learning and love. The benefits range from improvement in sleep patterns to stronger immune system, balancing of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, increased concentration and creativity. Sound and vibration is the nutrition for our body and mind. They could replace many different chemical drugs that often cause more harm than good.

Please RSVP at your earliest convenience. This will be an intimate group of not more than 30 people so reservations are recommended.

LOCATION: Beautiful space at Arts on Site with a real working fireplace which we will have on!

TIME: 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm (Please arrive by 6.15pm)

Come for a chance to go within, open up, meet like-minded people and create new friendships. No prior experience or any special outfit is necessary.

She completed her yoga teacher training while undergoing chemotherapy and her certification was granted by her mentor Jyl Kutche at the DYC in 2015. She shadowed Jyl for 8 months afterwards in therapeutic yoga practices.

That same year, she participated in training and a transmission ceremony of Thich Nhat Hanh’s Five Mindfulness Trainings with Terry Cortes-Vega at the Dallas Meditation Center. Attune to Gratitude: Despacho x Sound @ Anima Mundi Apothecary
Feb 1 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Attune to Gratitude: Despacho x Sound @ Anima Mundi Apothecary | Brooklyn | NY | US

Would you like to welcome the new month of February with with more awareness and intention?

Would you like to find gratefulness and calm amidst the chaos and unpredictability?

Would you like sonic waves to wash over you taking you to a relaxed state without complicating how to get there?

Would you like to experience gratitude as a superpower?

Join Cheryl Silva for a gratitude ceremony and seed intentions for the new month. Together we will create a beautiful offering (Despacho) and experience the sound currents of antique Tibetan Singing Bowls to amplify the frequency of gratitude and activate your inner healer.

What is a Despacho Ceremony?

For centuries, the “paqos” – the high shamans also known as the “wisdom keepers” from the Q’ero lineage of Peru have practiced the Ayni Despacho Ceremony. The word Ayni means balance and the Q’ero people believe that when humans are imbalanced, the world reacts to this and becomes imbalanced as well. The creation of an “Ayni Despacho” is like a large Mandala where participants gather sacred objects placed upon a white piece of paper that acts as a wrapping for the gift to mother earth.

The intention of this ritual is to bring the individual, the community into a place of harmony, union and balance with the natural world. Each ingredient is given breath, prayers and the ritual becomes a living prayer.
